Ray Spruell

You can judge Ray Spruell by his rich experience.  Today, he is a successful trial attorney, loving husband, proud father of 4 boys, and a former district court judge.  Before he even started his career, he completed the summer law program at Oxford University (Queen’s College) in Oxford, England and served as president of the Student Bar Association at the University of Oklahoma.  Following law school, he served 3 years as a state Supreme Court law clerk, a deputy prosecuting attorney, and a chief public defender.

In the meantime, Ray has served as District Judge in 3 counties, as special district judge in other counties, and as Special Chief Justice to the Arkansas Supreme Court.  He has also been a commissioner on the state Public Defender Commission, a Rotary Club president, treasurer to the Downtown Jonesboro Association, and a member of Knights of Columbus.  He has also been fortunate to be involved with many other civic committees and projects over the years.

Family is the focus of Ray’s life.  His relaxation time is being with his wife and watching his sons play sports or participate in other activities.  He is a Razorback fan first and a Sooner fan second.  And he is a trained winemaker who has not given up his day job.

Defending the accused has been the focus of his law practice, but he also represents people who need assistance with family law issues.
