Bennett Nolan

Join us in congratulating Bennett Nolan in his recent appointment as a special justice for the Supreme Court of Arkansas.

Bennett Nolan, of counsel at Caddell Reynolds, was one of seven people appointed to serve as a special justice and will replace Justice Karen R. Baker, who disqualified herself from the case.

This is a great honor for Bennett Nolan and our staff at Caddell Reynolds congratulates him on this appointment.

Governor Asa Hutchinson appointed seven people to serve as special justices to consider a petition filed by the Arkansas Supreme Court with itself seeking the dismissal of ethics complaints against the high court on Thursday.

These special justices were appointed to fill in for supreme court justices, who have filed a lawsuit challenging a disciplinary panel’s decision to charge them with ethics violations.

The complaints were filed against the regular Supreme Court justices by the Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission over how the high court punished Pulaski County Circuit Judge Wen dell Griffen for his protest against the death penalty in April 2017.

The high court banned Griffen from handling any more cases connected to the death penalty. Griffen had ruled in a case involving execution drugs, by blocking their use in scheduled executions, and then participated in the protest.

Caddell Reynolds. Make the right call!

Absolute life savers. Fast, extremely qualified, and professional. I cannot say enough good things about this firm. Attorney Waylon Cooper and his legal staff, especially Mechelle, were exceptionally helpful and saved us from potential devastation. The personal relief I have experienced as a result of this team cannot be expressed in words. I will forever be in their debt. Thank you!!
